Episode Five Status

My hope is to publish Perfect, Episode Five next Sunday (23 Sept). I am editing it now and took a brief break for those who might check in to see if the next episode is finally reading. Alas, it was just not up to the standard I aspire to and will benefit – greatly, I hope –  from further tweaking.

Thank you for your patience and interest in Perfect.

Status Update

After a bit of time off, I'm back to editing, writing, and critiquing though certain problems around the house may limit the amount of time I'm able to get anything meaningful accomplished. However, my hope is have the next episode of Perfect published shortly: I'm just unable to offer a promise of the actual timing. I wish more of my working environment was under my control.

Additionally, I'm working on a new website and would like to have it ready by the end of the month. I will be moving Perfect there. Watch for further details and the unveiling of my nom de plume. No worries, I'll still answer to "Thomas."

Last, anyone know where I can find a waistcoat (vest) with lapels for a reasonable price?

Little About My Computers

Have been spending a lot of time and energy getting computers to do what I need them to do -- no matter how easy people tell me it's going to be, I find it to be a bit of a struggle. Working on a new website and home for this blog as well as Perfect and I hope they will be easier to use for both of us.

Hope you're enjoying what's left of summer (or winter if on the other side of the Equator).

Local Writer Publishes New Work

Westside Writers' own April Aasheim recently announced the publication of her book The Universe is a Very Big Place, available now for Kindle at Amazon.com.

Cover ArtAs the daughter of a fortune-telling mother and a scam artist father, Spring Ryan wants nothing more than to leave her past behind, fall in love, and live a nice, normal life. But the Universe had other plans.
For starters, the man Spring fell in love with, Trevor Donnelly, has disappeared off the face of the earth. To make matters worse her mother Lanie, an eccentric nudist, moves in ‘just until she’s done with menopause’, and her boss, Kimberly, has asked her to escort a life-sized condom around town to promote teen abstinence.
Still trying to salvage a normal life Spring agrees to marry Sam Wayne, a banker with an appreciation for books, God, and a well-mashed potato. He may not be Prince Charming, but at least he can give her the normal life she has always dreamed about.
But as her nuptials with Sam draw nearer, Spring’s life becomes even more complicated. She soon finds herself involved with three men, and has no idea what to do with any of them. It seems the Universe has a sense of humor...and just maybe, a better plan for Spring than the normal life she's always told herself she wanted.

Perfect, Episode 2

Well, after way too long -- and working on other, less important, things -- I have returned to writing as my primary occupation. My plan is to focus on writing and not only prepare work for publication, but regularly add to this blog.

To that end, I've been hard at work at developing additional episodes for the piece started in March with the working title Perfect. I am moving this piece to its own page on this blog (you can navigate to it by clicking on "Perfect" above. Additionally, I will post links to the newest episode as they are made available.

Perfect, Episode Two is now available.
